The TV Advertising Basketball League is now the Sports & Media Basketball League of New York City.  Same great league, new and improved name to better reflect the participating teams and the industry.  The Sports & Media Basketball League will partner again with the New York Corporate Athletic League starting in late November for Season #6 of the largest basketball league dedicated to the media, sports and advertising industries.

ABOUT THE SEASON
All teams playing in the 2008-09 Sports & Media Basketball League season will have the opportunity of a lifetime…..to play hoops at the World's Most Famous Arena! - MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.  The two teams teams that advance to the Championship game will square off @ Madison Square Garden.

There will be an 11 game regular season tipping off in late November and culminating in a grand "March Madness" playoff tournament with all teams.  Most games will be held at Martin Luther King Jr. High School (122 Amsterdam Ave, between 65th & 66th) and The Trinity School (139 W 91st Street).  Games will be played Monday through Thursday and all teams will play one Friday night game during the season with plenty of notice to plan accordingly. 2008-2009 Season Information
Updated 3/15/09

Some mild upsets in the second week of the playoffs but the three time defending champions from the NBA continue their march for their fourth title in the Primetime bracket.  They will square off with the 5th seeded ABC team who knocked off #4 SNY/NY Mets in overtime.  The defending runner-up and #2 seed will battle #6 ESPN/ABC Sports for the other spot in the championship game at MSG.

In the Daytime bracket, #1 Mindshare and #3 MediaVest will play for the championship this week.

Congratulations to our two division winners (also our two finalists last season)- the NBA in the East Division with a record of 9-1-1 and Mediacom in the West Division at 9-2.
